JOURNEYintoSOUL is an idea that Thomas Baltazar (aka DJ urban unrest) and Edward Uken came up with one sunny Sunday morning while sitting on a park bench. Ed is a musician, having played saxophone and piano for about ten years. Tom is a DJ with great ties to the local soul scene with a marketing background. We decided to put together a podcast that shared our love for music, and set out to find unsigned artists that produce positive, uplifting, SOULfull music, and help share our discoveries with others. Thomas wanted to change the world with the podcast, my aims are much simpler, to get people to listen to new independent artists, and hopefully get some people in our cyber family.
Unfortunately Thomas has left for other projects, so I am looking for help with promoting and marketing the website and podcast, finding new artists, and putting together the playlist for the podcast. I’m based in the Los Angeles area, so anyone in the area that would like to grab a coffee and discuss a partnership, I’d love to hear from you.
